Due Diligence

Initial Due Diligence - The due diligence process to find a new investment manager is a multi-step process for a specific asset class. Each search involves a rigorous screening and evaluation of investment managers from a universe of more than 6,500 strategies. As a result, Access Partners is able to select from institutional quality managers who:

  • Have a time tested process and philosophy, and
  • Demonstrate the ability to consistently produce attractive risk-adjusted returns.

Here is the process followed:

Ongoing Due Diligence - The ongoing due diligence process is designed to ensure that managers continue to perform in a manner consistent with expectations.

Annually, a visit is made to each investment manager's office for an in-depth review of their strategy. Updates are provided on material information that may impact our view of the firm and their ability to continue to meet expectations.

Quarterly, we hold conference calls with each manager to brief us on the preceding quarter and their outlook for the coming 12 to 18 months. Additionally, on an ad hoc basis, we are in frequent contact with our managers to stay current with recent developments.
